Decontamination

Most contamination in Australia is from recreational use, in fact at least 80% of contamination that we see present itself as contamination from someone smoking methamphetamine. These sites show no signs of manufacture, there are no pre-cursor chemicals on the premises or in the lab analysis reports and the contamination levels are relatively low. These sites according to an Enhealth 2017 document rate the health risks to these sites as incidental but this of course would depend on the levels of methamphetamine reported.

The smoke house contaminated sites can sometimes be cleaned using a sugar soap solution. MTK Decon uses a combination of sugar soap and specialized chemicals on these types of contaminated sites. In almost all cases depending on contamination levels there is no need to remove, lights, switches, power points, cabinetry.
